Lip care-Tips for Chapped and Cracked Lips


The main reasons for cracked or chapped lips are less moisture and vitamin deficiency.Lips is very sensitive part of the skin hence it loses moisture very fast compared to skin.Hence resulting in cracked lips stealing your smile.

Unlike most parts of our body, our lips do not have any melanin to protect them from the sun, nor do they produce any moisturizing oil. That makes it highly vulnerable to the drying effect of the climate.Try these home remedies.

  • Butter is a very good moisturiser for lips.
  • Honey is good solution for chapped lips.For best results apply it overnight.
  • Try Olive oil for curing dry and chapped lips.
  • Considering lip balm Plain old petroleum jelly works just fine.

Do’s and Don’t’s

  • Don’t lick your lips.It increase the dryness and leave a painful lips
  • Drink plenty of water to stay hydration.
  • Exfoliate your lips once a week. Wet a washcloth to gently buff your lips this removes the dead skin.This can be done using lemon juice also.
  • Rinse well after brushing.
  • Stop smoking.
  • Intake Vitamin-B rich diet.
